Lettera al Poeta di New Orleans, Gerald Cowey

Every day since I was back
I had been thinkin' 'bout the u.s. days
spent this august
my true life lived freely
now I'm lookin' at some Thomas Mann photos
and I recognise some kinda affinity with his face and your
I'm talkin' 'bout a hint of expression
I'm talkin' 'bout the wide life on a shallow sign of the forehead
I'm trying to push the evening drugged blust
into a possessive outrageous afraid smile
maybe 'cause this morn' I've been listening
to Ezra Pound interviewed by Pasolini
and it was silly substandard
totally unnecessary.
