Risposta di Gerald Cowey, poeta di New Orleans

Thanks for the speech and the photographs.  David  Bowie???  Something tourists take picturse of me while I am at work because I remind them of the rock star.  I, personally, canno see the resemblence.
Tomorrow, 31 OCT 2011, is Halloween, All Hallows Eve - the day before All Saints Day.  Halloween is a celebration of western myth and goulishness and. of course, costumes to fit the occasion.  Jack o' lanters - carved pumplins lighted from the inside by a burning candle - will be everywhere because this is an old Native American (Indian) tradition.  There will be much food and drink and games and lots of candy for children or grownups acting like childern.  All Souls' Day follows Allhallows and is celebrated as the Day of the Dead with parades similar to those in Mexico but without the fireworks.
